Ethiopia Israel flights

Ethiopia resumes flights to Tel Aviv, Israel today, following a suspension from the outbreak of the Israel-Gaza conflict.
The outbreak of that conflict caused significant travel disruptions to travel in the region with October and November normally being popular tourism months for countries such as Israel, Egypt, and Jordan. It is estimated that ticket sales in October have dropped by 26%, 49%, and 74% compared to last year in Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon respectively. Today’s resumption and the return of other countries to servicing such routes may allow the market to recover, however, prospects are likely to be damped by the continuing conflicts in the region.
The outbreak of conflicts across the world continues to have a significant impact on global air travel with many Western airlines ceasing services to Russia and also losing permission to fly over Russian airspace. In addition, high fuel prices and inflation partially driven by both wars are exacerbating this phenomenon.  Should both conflicts continue into the foreseeable future, the global aviation industry could face significant difficulties—global air travel has still not surpassed pre-COVID-19 levels and is expected to reach only 101.4% of 2019 levels in 2024.
